Abstract:   (1379 Views)
Introduction: In cardiovascular patients, stress is a pervasive experience that can affect the recovery process of the disease. The aim of this study was to predict perceived stress based on self-efficacy and psychological hardiness in cardiovascular patients.
Method: The method of the present study was descriptive and correlational. The statistical population of the study included cardiovascular patients referred to cardiac hospitals and cardiac rehabilitation centers in Tehran in 1398, of which 151 people were selected as the sample group by purposive sampling. Data collection tools included Kobasa Hardiness Questionnaire, Cardiac Self-Efficacy Questionnaire and Perceived Stress Scale.
Results: The results showed that self-efficacy and psychological hardiness with perceived stress have a significant negative correlation coefficient. Regression results showed that self-efficacy and psychological toughness had a significant role in predicting perceived stress in heart patients and the share of psychological hardiness was higher (p <0.05(.
Conclusion: Based on the results of this study, cardiovascular patients can help reduce stress and thus improve their health by strengthening their self-efficacy and psychological hardiness.
