Introduction: Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is one of the most common disorders of childhood. The present study was conducted with the aim of the effectiveness of neurotherapy on reducing the risk of impulsivity and high-risk decision making in high school female students with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).
Methods: The present study was a semi-experimental design with two groups of subjects that was conducted in the 2017-18 academic year. The statistical sample of the study included 30 subjects, in which a group of 15 people included people with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder syndrome (ADHD) and 15 patients in the placebo group, that is, people with the following disorder syndrome, but interfering with them It was not real. The research instrument was a neurotherapy device, a go-nogo response inhibitory test, a balloon risk test, and a questionnaire for attention deficit / hyperactivity disorder in adults. Data analysis was done by SPSS software version 19 using multivariate covariance analysis.
Results: Data analysis showed that there was a significant difference between the mean of pre- and post-test scores of the experimental and control groups There was a significant correlation (p <0.01) with neurotherapy reducing impulsivity and high risk decision making in people with hyperactivity disorder.
Conclusion: Considering the positive effects of this method on reducing the risk of impulsivity and high risk decision making in people with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, this study showed that neurotherapy can be an effective way to achieve optimal performance in people who disorders of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder can be used.
