The sample size of this study was 219 students who were selected in a stratified random sampling method from different faculties of Payam Noor University, Hamedan Branch. The instruments used in this study were Life Events Checklist (LEC), Barratt Impulsivity Scale(BIS), Saving Inventory-Revised(SIR) and attention deficit-hyperactivity disorder Symptom Scale(ADHDSS). Data were analyzed by Pearson correlation coefficient and multivariate regression analysis.
Results: The results showed that there is significant relationship between hyperactivity /inattention symptoms with hoarding symptoms (r = 0.54 p <0.001), impulsivity with hoarding symptoms (r = 0.31, p <0.001), and between Traumatic life events and hoarding symptoms (r = 0.162, p <0.05, and these variables are able to explain 0.29% of the variance in the syndrome of hoarding disorder.
