Introduction: Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a relatively rare disease that can be associated with various mental, physical and psychological burdens. The statistical population of the study included patients with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis that 30 people were selected as the sample size and participated in the study. Data were collected through standard questionnaires and analyzed by multivariate analysis of covariance and multiple linear regression in SPSS23 statistical software.
Results: The results showed that at a significant level of 5%, the intervention based on positive psychology was effective on post-traumatic growth, self-care and quality of life variables in patients with ALS (P <0.05).Thus, positivist interventions have led to an increase in the mean scores of participants in the experimental group in post-traumatic growth, self-efficacy and quality of life compared to the Goa group.
