Helicobacter pylori is one of the common infections in human. The present study is designed with the aim of investigating the effect of Helicobacter pylori infection on PCOS and it has dealt with determining anti- Helicobacter pylori antibody titer and controlling them. Methods: this Descriptive study has been conducted on 100 women visiting the women clinic of Shariati hospital in 2015. The women studied were of reproductive age of 20 to 40 years old and they were married. After full explanations provided for them, they signed an informed consent form. We studied women with definite diagnosis of PCOS based on Rotterdam criteria. 5 cc of venous blood was taken from all the individuals and after separating serum, they were kept in -20 freezer. Then Ig A and IgG titer was measured using ELIZA test. The data were analyzed and evaluated using version 15 of SPSS software. Findings the positivity of the IgG serology test in was 64 (64 percent) IgA serology test was 40 (40 percent). conclusion: due to the oral-genital transmission of the aforementioned bacteria and the similarity between stomach’s tissue and vagina’s tissue as well as the proof of the implantation of the aforementioned bacteria in women’s reproductive system and high prevalence of Helicobacter pylori in women afflicted with PCOS.
