Study of medical procedures in the battle scene using the experiences of Aja's predecessors during the Holy Defense
Abstract:   (863 Views)
Performing medical procedures in the battle scene in many cases saves the life of the military personnel and prevents permanent damage to the injured person. This study was conducted with the aim of investigating the state of medical procedures during the Holy Defense period by using interviews with former commanders. For this purpose, a number of 11 former commanders of the three forces of Aja and the Joint Staff were interviewed during the holy defense period with the rank of second brigadier general and the history of participating in at least three major operations during the war. The topics of the interview in five areas included performing emergency surgery, evacuating the injured, self-help and rehabilitation, dealing with chemical attacks, and the state of medicine and emergency equipment. The result of the interview showed that the main priority of the commanders was based on performing the initial measures and then sending the patients. There were major limitations in terms of medicine and relief equipment during the holy defense period, and the major part of the weakness in providing health services was related to the lack of presence of the medical team in the battle scene, and the lack of training and insufficient knowledge of the warriors about self-help and rehabilitation in critical situations.
