Evaluation of physical damage caused by the earthquake and predicts the appropriate therapeutic measures

Introduction and Aims: Earthquake is a natural disaster which has happened frequently in Iran in the past decades with thousands of mortality and morbidity. In this study, by considering the physical damage caused by earthquakes around the world, the injuries will be prioritized in the next events. Methods: With a library of field research conducted in different earthquakes occurred in the world, we turn to study the types of physical damage caused by the stick. Results: Studies show that the most injuries are associated in orthopedic injuries in the extremities, especially in the lower extremities and the spine, because of severe stroke during an earthquake or unsuitable transfer during the rescue. While children, the elderly and women due to organ-specific features require special treatment measures are anticipated. Conclusion: The findings can be concluded, appropriate Preclinical measures, refresher courses for medical staff and initial training at the community level, can be effective with significant improvements in the management of similar crises.
