Investigating the relationship between general health and existential anxiety in militaries personal

Introduction: In the current era, the military units are among the important and influential members of societies. One of the important issues is attention to the physical and mental health. One of the psychological problems is anxiety. Anxiety is usually defined as scattered, vague, unpleasant feelings of fear and anxiety. The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between existential anxiety and general health in military personnel in Torbat Heydarieh.
Methods: This is a descriptive-analytical study Which was conducted Randomly on 120 militaries personal of Torbat-e- Heydarieh hospital. The subjects' anxiety was evaluated based on the Laurence Good's existential anxiety questionnaire. the GHQ questionnaire has been used to measure The general health.
 Results: The findings of the study showed that, there was not a meaningful relationship between anxiety and social function with existential anxiety. (P > 0.05). In addition, there was a meaningful and negative relationship between physical complaints and depression with existential anxiety. (P < 0.05).
Conclusion: The results demonstrated, that between physical complaint and depression with existential anxiety is a meaningful negative relationship.
