Compare Schema emotional and cognitive emotion regulation strategies in patients with generalized anxiety disorder and major depression

Introduction: This study compares the schema of emotional and cognitive emotion regulation strategies in patients with generalized anxiety disorder and major depressive.

Methods: 60 patients (30 patients per group) in every hospital, rozbeh, Imam Hussein (AS), Ayatollah Taleghani using diagnostic tools (semi-structured clinical interview) (1) were selected. Those selected individually by means of questionnaires, cognitive emotion regulation strategies (2) and Leahy Emotional Schema Scale (3) was evaluated.

Results: The mean of negative cognitive emotion regulation stratrgies in the patients with major depression was 32.83. There was a significant positive relationship between schema emotion and cognitive emotion.

Conclusion: Significant differences in the use of positive and negative emotional schemas and application cognitive emotion regulation strategies showed. Therefore, according to treatments based on cognitive emotion regulation option for people with generalized anxiety disorder and major depression is.
