Acute pulmonary tuberculosis manifesting with immune thrombocytopenic purpura: A case report
Abstract:   (4468 Views)
Tuberculosis has a variety of hematological manifestations. Immune thrombocytopenic purpura is an uncommon manifestation of TB. Association of immune thrombocytopenic purpura and TB is a rare condition. Antituberculosis therapy is effective on both tuberculosis and thrombocytopenia, suggesting a causal relationship between TB and ITP. We present a case of pulmonary tuberculosis with isolated thrombocytopenia.
