Introduction and Objective: As the cornerstone of any health system, hospitals play an important and vital role in responding to natural disasters, so they must be prepared to respond to accidents and disasters and recover from them. The purpose of this study is to investigate the necessity of an operational plan to deal with risks in hospitals. Materials andMethods: The present study is a systematic review study conducted in 2024. International databases included PubMed, Scopus, Web of science and Google scholar, and Iran's national databases included the Scientific Database Sid and Magiran. In total, 75 articles were retrieved. Finally, After applying the entry and exit criteria 14 articles were included in the study and their results were analyzed.
Results:The findings showed that most hospitals have challenges in implementing the operational plan and responding to the crisis, and more investigation and effort should be done in this field. Therefore, it is necessary to improve hospital preparedness and disaster risk understanding among officials.
Discussion and Conclusion: It is recommended that the existing operating plans be reviewed and the deficiencies extracted, and for each hospital, according to the possible risks, standard operating plans should be specially designed and provided to the hospitals in the form of comprehensive instructions, so that when a crisis occurs, a standard response and It should be given with quality and based on pre-designed programs, which will ultimately have optimal results in health, economy and satisfaction of medical staff, patients and people.
