Introduction:Temperament(Mizaj)is formed when small elements derived from the four primary qualities combine and create a moderate quality. It appears that each individual has a specific temperament that is compatible with the climate of their region.Just as many personality, physical and other characteristics in individuals are influenced by their blood group,it is likely that blood group may be one of the factors associated with temperament. The present study was conducted to determine the relationship between blood groups and temperament among individuals referring to community health centers in Gonabad city. Methods:In this analytical cross-sectional study,207 individuals referring to community health centers in Gonabad County were selected using simple random sampling.Data were collected through a demographic information form,a temperament assessment questionnaire and documented evidence indicating blood group.Data analysis was performed using SPSS software version23,employing descriptive and inferential statistics.A significance level of less than0.05 was considered. Results:The mean age of the study participants was28.42 years, and the majority were women(54.6%).Based on the results, there was a statistically significant association between the AB blood group and Rh factor with the warm–cold dimension of temperament(P < 0.05).Additionally,a statistically significant relationship was observed between blood groupB and the wet–dry dimension of temperament(P < 0.05).conclusion:The results of the present study indicate an association between certain blood groups, including AB,B and the Rh factor and individuals’ temperament It appears that individuals with blood groupAB had a moderate temperament in terms of warmth and coldness those with blood groupB tended toward a wet temperament, and most individuals with Rh-positive blood had a moderate temperament
